The ASHR3 researcher team did not conduct the main study telephone interviews. All main study telephone interviews are conducted and managed by the Social Research Centre (SRC) in 2023.
Participants were contacted via random-digit dialling on mobile phones only. The mobile phone numbers were randomly generated by computer. This was the best way to obtain a representative sample and to make sure we heard opinions from a wide range of people.
Participants were also contacted using mobile phone numbers provided by a commercial list provider. These lists include telephone numbers listed in the white pages along with lists from other parties such as charities, telemarketing companies and other business entities. The list provider used was SamplePages. More information can be found on their website, http://www.samplepages.com.au.
Participants could only take part in the survey if contacted directly by SRC. Participating in ASHR3 is entirely voluntary and participants can opt out at any time.
